Affluence

Creating Affluence with Mind Projection

The difference between successful people and non-achievers begins with the way those people think about themselves and their abilities. Take for example two men who live five thousand miles apart. Each one independently comes up with the same brilliant innovative idea that could make a small fortune. The first man thinks to himself: “This will never work, it’s just too good to be true”. However he’s prepared to give it a chance and half-heartedly sets out to sell his idea to the public. When he fails, as he ultimately must, he is reaffirming what he knew would happen all along. The second man however is totally enthusiastic about his new idea and infects everyone around him with his optimism, the passionate belief that this idea is the best thing since sliced bread and he is as excited as a child on the night before his birthday.

Believing in oneself is not always as easy as we’d like it to be. Years of criticism, put-downs, negativity from others and self-doubt may have done an excellent job in dampening any prospects for achievement that was our original birthright.

There’s a popular and very true saying that goes something like this – ‘if you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got’ – which is why – if we want to get something different – we must look to the future instead of drawing on past experience.

Because the future has not yet happened, we can play about with it and design our own destiny. That’s what ‘Creating Affluence with Mind Projection’ is all about. So first of all you will need to take a pen and paper and design your ideal future.

Where would you like to see yourself in ten, twenty or thirty years time? Depending on your age, set yourself a time span by which you’d like to have achieved affluence. Be realistic about this, but not pessimistic. You don’t have to wait ten years (unless you’re a young child right now), but next week could be a bit soon to give yourself chance to put this programme into use.

What would you like to be doing? If your goal is to own your own business empire, two cars, a house by the sea and one in the country, have a hundred thousand pounds in the bank – write it all down. Design your future now.

Who would you like to be with you? What would you like to be wearing? Again, be as specific as you can

When you’ve designed your future, read through it a couple of times and evaluate what you’ve written. Are these the things that will really make you happy? What details can you add to your design?

The next step is to use the self hypnosis induction on yourself, record it if you like, and use a deepener. Then go into a daydream where you project your mind to that future date and really see yourself very clearly, doing all those things that you wrote down.

Don’t worry if the images don’t come too clearly at first, instead concentrate on other aspects of your design. For example, hearing people congratulating you on your success, feeling yourself sitting in an elegant sports car or walking around your country mansion, arranging flowers in the vase, smelling the expensive aftershave or perfume, looking at your bank account – or whatever you’ve decided you want to achieve.

When you’ve spent a few minutes in visualizing these things give yourself a key word to summarize your goal and count yourself up to five, and open your eyes.

Use this technique every day without fail. Whenever you find yourself thinking negative thoughts, simply say your key word to yourself.

The very act of replacing negative thoughts with your key (positive) word, coupled with the powerful visualization of affluence – what you want and desire – will make your conceivable goal believable and achievable – and you will start moving toward what is rightfully yours – an affluent life.

Alcohol

People with alcohol problems often need help with their self-esteem and some form of confidence building. Take time to find out what your client succeeds at, and have her anchor good feelings with a physical response, such as squeezing the hand into a fist. This will help to direct attention away from the internal response and empower your client with positive feelings.

“For a long time now you’ve been acting and feeling in ways that have taken you away from your own, natural self. You’ve relied more and more on alcohol to help you through the negative feelings which you’ve been experiencing, and have done so to such an extent that you find yourself denying your self of your own true feelings.

No-one feels on top of the world all the time and there will be days that could be better for you. It’s only by experiencing some of the lows in life that you can really enjoy and appreciate the highs. Blotting out your feelings with alcohol doesn’t solve anything, it just makes things worse, that’s why you have decided now that you’ve had enough of drinking alcohol, and you really want help with that old problems of yours.

Focus now on an area of your life that you feel happy with - you may like to remember something good that happened to you, something that made you feel confident, an achievement maybe or some praise you received. (pause) ...now notice how you feel inside, proud, confident, happy - and allow those good feelings to grow stronger, while you relax, and let go.

And when those good feelings are filling you I want you to take a deep breath and squeeze your hand into a fist, whilst your subconscious mind memorizes those good feelings.

Because whenever you want to feel this way, all you need to do is take a long deep breath and squeeze your hand into a fist.

That’s good. Now imagine yourself in a situation where you would normally have reached for your first drink of alcohol. Notice where you are, what you’re doing, who is with you, if anyone, use your imagination to the very best of your ability. If you can’t picture the scene then remember it in as much detail as possible.

Notice the feelings inside you as you reach for the bottle and imagine yourself walking over to the sink and emptying that bottle away, and as you do this, I want you to take a deep breath in through your nose and squeeze the other hand into a tight fist whilst you remember those good, confident positive feelings.

Immediately you feel good. It’s good to be confident, and know that you’re free from that old, addictive way of life. Free from the burden of having to drink alcohol, free to get on with your wonderful life, to experience the highs, as well as the lows, knowing this will help you to really appreciate when things get better.

Now, in your mind, find an alternative activity to do. It doesn’t matter what it is as long as its a break from what you would normally do. You’re changing. Your way of thinking and acting is improving, your in command, you’re taking charge, you’re in control. You’re free as a bird, you’re free from the addictive way of life, and yes, there will be moments when you feel pain, but these moments will get less and less, and you will really appreciate the pleasurable things in life, the little things that make you smile and feel good.

Numbered Staircase

This is a traditional deepener with a difference. Asking the client what number he's at, helps you to verify the level of trance that has been reached.

You’re now standing at the top of a very long and beautiful staircase. There are one hundred steps leading down, and around and although you can’t see the bottom of the stairs from here, you just know that there’s a beautiful place waiting at the bottom of the stairs, just for you.

Notice the staircase; notice the carpet if there is one, make it your favorite color. Perhaps the stairs are made of marble or wood, if so then that’s okay, that’s alright.

On either side is a beautiful firm banister that makes you feel safe and secure. The banister is smooth and polished, and you place your hand lightly on it.

Notice that on the floor of the stairs are the numbers from one hundred, going all the way down to zero. And the deeper down you go, the more comfortable and the more relaxed do you become.

So get ready now to begin walking down the stairs, if you’re not already, going down, down, down. Deeper and deeper and deeper down. Good. Relaxing more and more with each step down.

Now look down at the numbers and tell me, what number step are you on?

(Client will probably be about halfway down, in which case suggest he goes down deeper still, then check the number again).

When you reach the bottom step, just step down and let the staircase fade away. You’re deeply relaxed now, very deeply relaxed, from the top of your head, all the way down, deeper down, to the tips of the toes.

Now proceed to the favorite place visualization. A room, or a door leading outside to a beautiful place in nature.

Oak Tree

Play any 'pretend' game with a small child and they quickly become involved and cooperative....

Ask the child if he would like to play a game of pretend. This is a useful induction for a child aged between 5 and 8 years old.

“Okay, I wonder if you can pretend that you are a strong oak tree. Your feet are the roots of the tree and stand firmly on the ground, your body is the trunk of the tree and your arms are the branches.

Now I’d like you to hold out this arm (pointing to child’s dominant hand). Good, this is a strong branch and very, very stiff - see the branch is getting extremely stiff, so strong and so stiff that it won’t bend at all. Just think to yourself, this branch is getting stiff and strong, and as you think to yourself that the branch is getting stiff and strong, it gets stiffer and stiffer and stronger and stronger, stiffer and stronger each second.

Now in a moment I’m going to ask you try to bend that branch, but the more you try to bend it the stronger and stiffer it becomes so that the branch won’t bend at all.

Ready now then, try to bend the branch, try, and the more you try the stiffer and stronger the branch becomes.”

(Child tries unsuccessfully to bend arm - at this point you have developed a very deep trance. If the arm does bend, reinforce the suggestions of strength and stiffness, or simply say - “see how hard that was to bend...”.)

“Now I’m going to show you something very interesting. Something almost magical, a very strong gust of wind is coming now and it will make that branch sway and bend very easily....the gust of wind is coming, it’s here, it’s making the branch sway and now it bends....feel the branch beginning to bend, easily, effortless. That’s good.”

At this point you could weave whatever suggestions you are working on into a story about the tree and the strength of the tree. Just use your imagination and the child will use his.

Jealousy

For a long time now you’ve been experiencing feelings which made you feel uncomfortable and insecure. These feelings have made you feel less fulfilled than you know you should be feeling, and that’s been getting you down. But very, very soon, much sooner than you think, you’re going to put aside those bad, uncomfortable feelings and instead, experience a new, healthy set of good, positive feelings.

Because you’re beginning to realize that there really are much better ways of feeling and acting. You know that people who feel jealous can often doubt themselves or others, sometimes they find it hard to trust the person closest to them and of course no good relationship can thrive without that essential ingredient. In fact relationships are like a recipe, they need certain ingredients in the right proportion - trust, respect, communication, give and take, with perhaps a dash of humor. And I want you to imagine now that you’re the one who is baking that cake, decide which recipe to use; read the recipe and weigh the ingredients out.

Be sure to have the right proportions, and decide how you want your cake to taste, perhaps sweet or sour. If it doesn’t taste right you can easily start again and get it right. Both parties get a taste of cake, and some people like to share it out, that’s good. What’s most important is how your piece tastes. If you’ve ever felt insecure and let’s face it, most of us have felt that way at some point in our life, then don’t dwell on old, negative feelings which hold you back in life, remember, you are a child of the Universe and you have every right to happiness whilst you are here.

You feel tender, loving kindness for all the children in your Universe. And this loving kindness is radiated all around you and back to you. You love others and others love you, you trust others and others trust you, you respect the wishes of other people and in turn they respect your own wishes. For the Universe is like a mirror, and whatever you put out comes back to you. Your relationships go from strength to strength as you love and trust and respect the children in your Universe.

Martial Arts

Begin with your favorite induction and a deepener from Hypnotic World

And now - I’d like you to imagine - that you are walking through the doors at the venue for the competition you walk past the reception desk and on to the changing rooms - you open the door… and notice that usual sports changing room smell - the sweat - the heat - you become aware of the voices of the other people inside - as you find an area to change - you sit down on the bench and begin to undress - noticing the coldness of the floor on your bare feet… you are feeling calm - your breathing even and effortless… you pull on your uniform trousers…and now your jacket… you pick up your belt and notice the area’s of wear on it - the feel of the material… you begin to wrap your belt around and tie it in the same way you have done so many times before… and now you pick up your sports bag, leave the changing rooms and head towards the competition area - you open the door to the arena and stand just inside… you look around noticing the spectators - you watch the other competitors warming up with a calm detachment… you close your eyes and soak up the atmosphere - you step forward and notice the texture of the fighting mats under your feet… as you walk across to the registration area - and after giving your details you find an area to begin your warm up… warming up in the same way that you have done many times before… paying attention to all areas - (wait a short time) you begin to do some light shadow sparring - you feel so loose… your punches crisp and smooth - you feel really in the zone - all the hard work now showing in the effortlessness of your movements - you begin throwing a few double roundhouse kicks - adding punching combinations - and now various high and low kicks working to all the competition target areas - your kicks so fluid - building up the pace now your techniques so accurate - everything flowing together…your mind focused and alert - and now your ready - you hear your name being announced and you step on to the competition area… your breathing easy and controlled - you are feeling so alert and relaxed as the referee signals the start of the fight - you move smoothly and easily - your punch and kick combinations coming together so easily - you’re able to score almost at will - you are aware of the techniques your opponent favors and are able to block and slip them without effort…you begin to work your jump and jump spinning kicks now…your opponent unable to answer your speed and accuracy…everything you’ve worked on in practice now coming together… and then the fight is at an end… your breathing still almost normal… and the referee is holding up your hand… as the crowd go wild… you enjoy the applause…as you collect the winner’s trophy…

Mountain

Imagine with me that it is a beautiful spring sunny day - the warm sun shines down on you - making you feel comfortable.

And we are going on a path up a mountain. Imagine the path now, gradually ascending this gentle slope. Perhaps you can let yourself really feel that you're going higher and higher, into the mountain of c.

Look around you now. Yes, just pause there for a moment, and notice a soft breeze blowing on your skin and on your hair. You are quite high up the mountain and you have a wonderful view below, and across - you can see for miles and miles around. Here and there you may come across a rabbit or a few mountain sheep or goats. They live peacefully up here; you continue your journey up the mountain.

As you go higher, so the mountain becomes a little steeper and in places the path narrows. Gorse bushes border your path in places, and mountain flowers peep out to greet you. You can see another mountain which looks so close that you almost feel you could walk over to it; but in reality you know it's far too far away.

As you climb higher and higher, ascending up the mountain, you eventually reach a plateau where you stop to rest. Just pause there, rest a while, relax, and take in the beautiful view.

Looking down the mountain you can see how far you've come. You've come a very long way, up a mountain path that was, at times, difficult, at other times easy, but you continued. And you can continue now until you reach the summit. I'm going to be silent for a few moments to allow for you to reach the summit. Go closer now towards your goal.

Health Matters

A healthy body requires a healthy mind. Thinking of illness and unhappiness can make you feel just that - however, focusing your mind on these positive thoughts will increase your resistance to illness a thousand fold.....

Imagine yourself full of health and vitality, just he way you want to be and keep this imagine focused in your mind as you direct your awareness to your health. Feel and experience a new, healthy energy beginning to flow into you as your nervous system becomes more stable and you become so much calmer and more relaxed than ever before.

All organs and systems of your body are functioning at higher levels as you direct your mind to improve your health and increase your energy levels. Your whole metabolism is becoming finely tuned to your individual needs. Your digestive system uses the food that you eat more effectively and you limit the quantities of food so that you’re eating just the right amount of healthy, nutritious food that you require to give you proper nutrition. You desire only the foods that are good for you.

And because you are becoming so much calmer inside and so much more relaxed, your whole outlook on life is improving and you begin to take each day as it comes. You feel a sense of acceptance, a feeling of peace and serenity deep within you. You metabolism during your resting periods becomes much more natural and is adjusted for your relaxed state and because of all these improvements to your system, your heartbeat becomes steadier and your breathing becomes more natural because of the increased oxygen intake in your lungs.

And your entire nervous system begins to function more efficiently and effectively as your automatic nervous system, which controls your heart rate and your breathing without you even needing to be conscious of it doing so, is working in peace and harmony together.

Because of the improved nervous system your digestion and kidneys begin to function more effectively and you feel a tremendous improvement to your entire being. The blood supply to your vital organs such as your liver, your pancreas and your spleen will nourish these organs more effectively as all the chemistry in your body becomes more balanced and stable.

Your brain waves are becoming balanced and this indicates a more peaceful and restful nature and because of this you’re sleeping more soundly and experiencing beautiful dreams. And when you wake up, you do so with a refreshed and invigorating feeling with full alertness.

And because of your improved biochemical and metabolic system, your general resistance to infections and diseases improves and your blood pressure is normal and you go about your day-to-day activities with a calm serenity.

The tone of your muscles improves and you have more energy and vitality with which to carry out your daily tasks and activities, your skin and your hair take on a healthy glow, which radiates out from within.

And all these things are beginning to take place deep within you, right now.

Jigsaw

The following information is designed to set off the process of visualization and lead your client into an awareness of any unresolved issues of the moment. It works well for people who feel that something is wrong in their life but cannot pinpoint exactly what it is.

Begin by asking your client to visualize a common, everyday object and ask him questions about what the object is. The colors of the given response indicate areas of concern. The following is an example of how this works.

As the client is sitting comfortably. Therapist says:

“I’m going to test the power of your imagination whilst you’re nice and relaxed. I want you to imagine that you can see a vase of flowers. Just imagine the vase of flowers sitting on the table over there; close your eyes to help your imagination along and then picture it clearly in your mind’s eye. Now tell me, what colors is that vase? What is it made from? What sort of flowers are there in the vase? What colours are they? What do they smell like? How do they feel?”

As you ask each question, pause long enough for a reply. Then continue with:

“Now imagine yourself sitting upright in the chair and picture a small table standing in front of you. On that table are several different colored and different shaped containers; there are red, blue, yellow and green; some containers are square, box like, some cylindrical. Inside each one of these containers is a separate set of jigsaw puzzles. Nod your head when you can see yourself, sitting at the table, with the different colored containers. Good.

Now I want you to choose just one of these containers – any color and shape that you prefer – and take out the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle onto the table. Notice how there is no picture on the lid of the container so I have no idea what the picture will eventually be – neither have you at this stage. But it will be a picture of a scene or an incident that is closely connected to your present problem.

Your subconscious mind knows exactly which pieces it is looking for, and will help you to fit those pieces together so that you can see what the picture is. So start now, putting the jigsaw together – a piece here – a piece there – and you can do it so much quicker in this relaxed state – much quicker than you would normally do – and when you wake up in a few moments you will be able to tell me exactly what you saw in the picture as it began to build up.”

At this stage, pause for about five minutes to allow the picture to come together in your client’s mind, before counting him out of hypnosis.

If dialogue is not forthcoming, asks the client to describe what he saw, ask if there were people, children, clothes, animals, places, etc. Find out what was going on in the picture or what people are thinking about. Most people should have been able to visualize something which will describe their inner-mental state – whether in actual or symbolic form. Sometimes there are pieces still missing or the revelation may cause surprise or even abreaction – if the subject becomes upset then you can ask him to break up the jigsaw and put the pieces back into the box until he’s ready to re-examine them.

By noting the colours of the shapes that your client has mentally selected you could take the following list as an indicator or some underlying emotion which the subconscious mind has brought up.

Red

would symbolize unconscious dangers, fears and phobias or aggressive sexual conflict.

Green

is generally taken to indicate jealousy or sibling rivalry.

Yellow

is a sign of cowardice or feelings of inadequacy but it can also symbolize optimism.

Blue

is a sign of coldness or lack of feeling.

White

Indicates purity.

Purple

is a mystical color and is often prevalent in hypnotic states.

Black

is a symbol of despair and gloom.

Pink

reflects the feminine side of one’s personality.

These color interpretations are a rough guide only. The best way to interpret a color is to find out what it means to the person involved.

Forest Walk

Visualize yourself now in a beautiful forest. It's a crisp Autumn day and the dappling sun reflects upon a gurgling stream that runs along the edge of the forest. You tread carefully into the forest, over the crackling red and golden leaves and broken twigs; pine cones are scattered across the ground - a squirrel runs up a tree - you watch the speed with which it moves, swiftly up and through the branches until you lose sight of it.

It's a very peaceful life here in this forest, you notice clusters of bluebells and soft green moss. And the deeper into the forest you venture, the deeper into relaxation you fall - you're falling deeply into a calm and tranquil feeling.

Watch a leaf falling from a tree as it dances and twirls in the air, before fluttering slowly down to rest with the others. You pause for a while and rest against an old oak tree. You can feel the rough bark of the tree against your fingertips - smell the earthy ground and soft leaf mould - fairy rings of toadstools or mushrooms scattered here and there, and even as you're resting here against the rough bark of the tree, you can feel a deep sense of peacefulness in this beautiful place. And this deep sense of peacefulness is growing and developing within you - its growing stronger and stronger each and every day. Each and every day you are growing stronger and stronger than - as strong as an old oak tree, stronger and stronger each and every day.

Because now, your body knows how to relax.

And relaxing like this brings you closer to nature and the wonderful resources that exist deep in your psyche.

Magical Television

Magical TV is a visualization that children and adults alike can identify with, you can use a video mind recorder to allow the subject to project into the future or rewind to view past incidents....

Ask child to close eyes until you tell him to open them. Ask him about his favorite TV programmer, and then when he has finished telling you, ask him about the part of the TV programmer that he enjoys most of all.

Continue with: “In a moment, with your eyes closed, you will begin seeing your favorite TV programmer. You will feel calm, relaxed, peaceful and safe. Okay, I’m turning on the TV now, and in your mind you will see your favorite programmer on the screen. You will hear the sounds and have the feelings, and really enjoy watching your favorite programmer. You can continue watching that TV programmer by keeping your eyes closed. You don’t need to listen to what I’m saying, you’re just continuing to relax and enjoy that special programmer by keeping your eyes closed until I tell you to open them and to wake up.”

At this point, you may want to test the state of the child. You can achieve this by saying. “As you watch your show, one of your fingers on your right/left hand moves straight out”. (Wait for a response).

If this method is to be used (with older children) as a problem solving strategy, continue with:

“In just a moment that programmer will finish and we will change the channel. You will continue moving into an even deeper state. You will be seeing a programmer that will show you how to overcome that problem and get rid of it completely.” (Pause) “Your favorite programmer has ended now and I’m changing the channel. You’re continuing to feel more peaceful, and now you’re seeing a programmer that is showing what has been causing that problem, and how easily you’re getting rid of that problem . . . . . the picture is becoming clearer. . You’re understanding it, and realizing that you are overcoming the problem completely.
